When I think NASCAR fans of course the first group that comes to mind is our family. :) So I'm sure you all would be thrilled to know I got a chance to go to The Monster Mile in Dover, DE to film for a story about a race-car driver from Maryland that will be airing later this month. This was a dream come true for me, to be inside the track with all the drivers before the race and mingle with the national media. The only disappointing part was the actual race suffered from a 3 hour rain delay and I had to leave before it started. But I did manage to get some great video of practice and such and I'm looking forward to posting the story on the blog after it's done, but for now here are a couple pics from the track!

Yeah. NASCAR. That's us.
I love the big old press badge! You look so official. And all grown up. Yikes. That must mean I'm getting older.
And I'm glad you got some good footage for the piece. Can't wait to see it.
Actually, the family has imported at least a bit of interest in NASCAR -- Kevin enjoys it. And, if I didn't mention it at the reunion, Jon, you're looking very healthy and trim -- lugging around that camera is probably a bit of a workout!
well thank you! Hauling 40+lbs of gear every day will probably do that to ya :)
Ha... It's funny, Jonathan, when I first moved to LA I worked a LOT of NASCAR games as a promo model. Can't say I liked it much... Quite an experience though! Congrats.
I second Janine -- you're lookin' good, cousin! And by the way, thanks for being the "tech support" for the StoryCorps interviews last month!
